Sign Language I Class

In this beginning sign language class, students will be introduced to the use of Signed English to communicate with the deaf. Students will learn to finger spell, sign a vocabulary of many words and sign simple sentence structures. Emphasis will include both receptive, expressive skills and American Sign Language concepts. You may bring daily words used at work to translate into sign language to help you reach out to the deaf community at work. For example you may provide a service for an organization such as the police and/or fire departments, department stores, hospitals, etc. Emphasis will include both receptive, expressive skills and American Sign Language concepts.
