McDade Watermelon Festival
67th annual McDade Watermelon Festival. Kicks off Friday night at 8pm with a Street Dance downtown, with Live music by Kenny Orts band. Then Saturday at 7am watermelon weigh in. Car Show starts at 8am. Entertainment on Main Street followed by Grande Parade at 10:30 am. Festival concessions & booths open at 11 am with Live music by the Fiddler Girls & The Shop Dawgz. BINGO, Horseshoe & Washer pitching, Seed Spitting contests and lots of FUN & Watermelons till the sun goes down!
