The Department of Labor announced the new salary threshold for certain employees to qualify as exempt from minimum wage and overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act’s White Collar Exemptions.
There’s a good chance that regardless of your business size the Department of Labor’s (DOL) ruling will directly impact you. Effective December 01, 2016, the new rule will apply to all employees who were previously exempt under the White Collar Exemptions and subject to the minimum salary threshold.
