Hosted by Bastrop County Master Gardeners
Joni Groom and Marianna Hobbs, Bastrop County Master Gardeners will be talking about Butterflies in Texas. In Texas we are home to more butterfly species and subspecies than any other state, over 400, partly due to our varied ecological regions. Our most popular butterfly is the Monarch Butterfly which happens to be the Texas state insect. The migration of the Monarch is coming to Texas soon and our speakers are anxious to share important tips on feeding and caring for the Monarch as it passes to warmer climates.
After our meeting we will walk across the street to our garden and look for butterflies and identify them. Come and join us!!!
