Lost Pines Garden Club meeting

The next meeting of the Lost Pines Garden Club will be Tuesday April 11 at the Bastrop Public Library.  The meeting program will be “Ponds: the Big, the Ba, and the Beautiful”.  The speaker will be Jeanne Ferrier who is the President of the Austin Pond Society.  Information on the club (and her biography) is at www.lostpinesgardenclub.org.
We will also briefly discuss the Mar 24-25 “Plant sale, Silent Auction, and Quilt Raffle”.  We raised over $8,800 from this event.  100% of the income will go to the Bastrop Library Summer Children’s program except for ½ of the Quilt Raffle which will go to the Bastrop Senor Center for the bus tragedy.
A tour of the Hyatt Lost Pines Gardens will be held on April 21 by Jon Pixler, the horticulturist at the Hyatt.
