Bastrop Career & Job Fair

To help citizens locate good jobs, change careers, or explore employment options, and to showcase Bastrop to employers as a good location to live and work.

Youth Career Fair
Friday May 8th, 9 am - 4 pm

More than 1000 juniors and seniors from Bastrop and Cedar Creek high schools will be bussed in to interact with employers in this unique recruiting event. The students will be able to ask questions, practice interview skills, and learn about current and future employment trends. Employers will be able to scout future employees, market their brand/name, spread the word about their opportunities – and even hire on the spot! The event will also help students fine-tune their class selections in order to be more “employer-ready” upon graduation. The Bastrop High School Performing Arts group will put on skits about interviewing, resume preparation, job searching, and other relevant topics. The students will be eligible to win prizes for participation in this event, courtesy of the Bastrop Rotary Club.

If you want a new job, a better job, or even a new career, Bastrop’s job fair is the place for you. Many of our participating companies offer on-the-job training or paid training! Some companies even plan to hire “on the spot!”
