Bands for Lands

Please join Pines and Prairies Land Trust at our Inaugural Fundraiser Bands for Lands. We will have three bands, a silent and LIVE auction and cheer for all. The concert is free and we are requesting a minimum $10 donation to attend. The money raised will go directly to protect open space in Central Texas. "To date Texas? land trusts have protected over 1.6 million acres of farms, ranches, wetlands, urban gardens, forests, watersheds, coastlines and river corridors". (Texas Land Trust Council, 2014) Texas lands provide some of the most beautiful scenery there is in the United States, but we are losing them at an alarming rate. Family farms and legacies are lost as well as healthy land that protects water and wildlife and our own peace of mind. Come learn about how you can help protect these lands. There will be great performances by the always entertaining Chubby Knuckle Choir, Mark Jungers Band and our headlining performer Carolyn Wonderland! Our Silent and LIVE Auction features items such as SXSW wristbands, a signed guitar and amp, local art, native plants and more.
