71st Annual Bastrop Homecoming & Rodeo
We want to welcome you back to Bastrop… or, to visit Bastrop for the first time! The event is held annually during the 1st full weekend of August at Mayfest Hill Park. Festivities include three nights of live entertainment, CPRA rodeo, a carnival, vendors, exhibits, the Mike Mathison Memorial Horseshoe/Washers Tournament, high school class reunions, and 4-H Cake Auction. A Grand Parade is held Saturday morning at 10am. Immediately following the parade, an all Alumni Class Reunion is held at the Bastrop Convention Center. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization, Bastrop Homecoming, Inc. fulfills its mission to award scholarships to both Bastrop High School (BHS) and Cedar Creek High School (CCHS) through proceeds raised during this annual event.

May Fest Hill – Location of PRCA Rodeo, dances, carnival, vendors and other events Bastrop is located 35 miles east of Austin on Highway 71 (past the airport). Mayfest Hill is located on the east side of Bastrop. Follow signs for Loop 150 and you’ll find us!
