This Study includes the entirety of SL 150/Chestnut Street from SH 71/SH 21 at Childers Drive to SH 71/SH 95 at Tahitian Drive. The Study will consider improvements to safety and mobility\, promote economic development and placemaking\, and support environmental stewardship. Using community input\, the Study will identify multimodal improvements and recommendations for pedestrians\, biking\, transit\, and other vehicles within the corridor.\n\nWhy the Study is Needed\n\nChestnut Street is a primary thoroughfare through the City of Bastrop. Chestnut Street's use varies\, as does the number of lanes and widths\, as it transitions between commercial areas\, downtown\, and near Bastrop State Park.
