He helps the regional team achieve the Chamber's public policy goals. He has worked in government and politics for over 30 years.\n\n \n\nPrior to joining the Chamber in 2005\, John was the District Director for Congressman Michael Burgess\, where he was responsible for managing the daily operations of the district office.\n\n \n\nBefore working for Congressman Burgess\, John served several Texas elected officials during his career including Senator Phil Gramm and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. He worked on the Bush-Quayle '92 Re-election Campaign in Washington\, DC in Treasury and Finance.\n\n \n\nJohn is a native of Dallas. In 2020\, he moved to Austin where he lives with his wife and family. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics from the University of Texas at Dallas.\n\n \n\n\nJoin us for the Monthly Luncheon for the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce\, an excellent opportunity to meet and network with your fellow Chamber members!\n\n\n\nLuncheon Guidelines for Members and Future Members\n\n\n Luncheons are held the 1st Wednesday of every month\, except July.\n Hours are 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM\n Members can register online through their Member Information Center (MIC) account page under Events\, Community/Chamber Calendar by accessing our website (www.bastropchamber.com)\, or by contacting the Chamber staff at (512) 303-0558 or info@bastropchamber.com. \n Members also can be added to the master registration list at the office to be included in all luncheons. All Master Luncheon Registration List additions must be accompanied by a valid credit card to be kept on file with the Chamber.\n Online registrations close on the Monday before the luncheon at 3 PM. Registrations by phone or email after this time will be accepted only if room is still available. No registrations or walk-ins will be accepted on the day of the luncheon.\n Our monthly Luncheons are an optional event and a fee is required to attend.\n Cost:\n \n Members - $20 per person when pre-registered\, $25 late registration\n Future Members - $25 per person when pre-registered\, $30 late registration (payment must be made at the time of registration).\n Online payments can be made by credit card (MC\, Visa\, Discover\, AMEX). Only cash or check is accepted at the luncheon. Any request must be submitted in writing and discussed with the President at least one week prior to the Luncheon.\n The Monthly Luncheon is a networking opportunity\, so members may still hand out items personally to individuals at the luncheons for networking purposes or at the general information table.\n The ability to hand out literature/promotional items on the luncheon tables is reserved exclusively for the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce\, the luncheon sponsor(s)\, and the luncheon speaker. No other handouts\, information\, gift items\, or literature can be placed on the luncheon tables\, and if any is found\, the member will be asked to remove them.
